MO-HAWK LESS CANCER OLDHAM JAM GIVES BACK THE OLDHAM FAMILY ROCKS OUT & ‘PAYS IT FORWARD’ GIVES BACK TO ANOTHER FIREFIGHTER’S FAMILY

Firefighter/Paramedic Kevin Oldham, 33, was diagnosed last April with stage IV inoperable pancreatic cancer. He is a loving husband and father of two young girls, Stella and Evelyn. Kevin is unable to perform his dream job of fighting fires and saving lives, but instead must undergo aggressive and exhausting chemotherapy.

Kevin would like to give back to a child of a firefighter that is going through similar troubles or illnesses. Kevin believes that with the amazing humanity he witnessed at his own benefit that there should be no problem stepping up for another firefighter’s family. Please come out and show your grace and support for another family.

Kevin has picked the Baine family (click picture for larger view) to benefit from the Mo-Hawk Less Cancer Oldham Jam fund raiser that will be held on April 10th at the Sundance Saloon in Waukegan, IL. Cody, 16 and Travis, 14 have a disease called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). This is a terminal disease that affects young boys. It is genetic and passed on from mother to son. There is no cure and very little treatment for this disease. Although there are a lot of testing and trials going on to help reverse this disease, nothing has been found to work yet, but there have been some break through in research. Most boys with DMD only live until their early to mid twenties. Both boys are in wheelchairs, they remain to be positive on a daily basis and also love to fish. So let’s grant some wishes for a couple of great guys. Their father is a Captain, Paramedic and training officer for the Steger Fire Dept.
